One day of beautiful sun and warmth and one day of drizzly misery. But the shooting was great all around. First I must start with Charles. He won a “Hard Leg” yesterday. Congrats Babe! He has been working hard to get these points. Now he got the “Hard” one out of the way. I will explain “Leg” points and “Hard Leg” points in my entry tomorrow. So he won 8 points. Only 22 more to go to get Distinguished. He also got a first in the sitting rapids in the Master class.
Myself, I shot my best scores so far with my AR. I was really happy. I did not win the Master class but I held my own. I am now ready to play with this gun again some more. I did get 3rd place for Prone rapid and won the Annie Oakley High Woman Trophy. Alas, there were only 5 women this time but I did do better than the woman who started the trophy. Her name has been on it for many years. (Her and I in photo) I finally got it! Kristen has also won this State Championship overall a couple of times. I think she just had a bad weekend. One of the other women was from Oregon and she won the second place “Leg”. So I beat her as well for the trophy. I will take any positive outlooks that I can. 🙂
There were several members of the All Guard Team competing. 3 of them took a lot of the medals. Great shooters with those AR’s.
The final and detailed results are posted on the WSRPA web site under High Power.
Congratulations to Gary Rasmussen who won the entire match. (Gary in first photo) How many times is this now Gary? Gary is one of 2 people trying out for a Palma Team coach to go to Australia next year.
So, I was thinking, I may still to go to Australia as a solo competitor next year. If I can’t join the US Team yet
I will compete on my own. If I do really well then the US Team has to notice me for next time right? It is an individuals match as well as team events. Other international teams
always need extra people for the team events.
How fun to be asked to shoot with other countries! Hmmm….Yes, why not! So cool!
